ZPD `WESTO` begun its operations in May 1993, picking up from its ancestor `STOLARSTWO` which had gone into business of carpentry ten years earlier - in 1983.
`WESTO` marked the new era by moving into new facilities funded from its own resources and at the beginning employed only 5 tradesmen. Year 1996 in our history is a key date - our identity solidified and our brand started to be recognized across the country. In 1998 we begun to co-operate with distributors beyond our own region. It took us only three years to raise the number of our employees above the magical level of 50, and we still hire. In such manner we have our share in the efforts of lowering the unemployment rate in our region. We think it is something worth being proud of.
Year 1999 conveys another special meaning to us. It is the year we started exporting our products to our first overseas market - Norway. Since then our sales are constantly increasing, and in order to satisfy such demanding market we plan to introduce a brand new line of products. Recent accession to the European Union opened new markets but also meant new responsibilities. As a foresight we started to introduce ISO quality standards, we also compiled so-called WESTO Quality Book and are gradually implementing production process control at the various stages of the production cycle. We also adjust our order management, quality assurance and complaint management systems to adhere to the commonly accepted norms.
