The business was started on July 1-st, 1958 as a one-man woodworking shop. Mr. Jozef Nowak started business in a rented room of 25 square meters area.
In 1963 the shop was moved to a newly built premises in Grodzisk Wlkp, located on what presently is Malinowskiego St. Jozef Nowak then employed two apprentices, whom he had personally trained.
In 1965 the second shop is built. The business is growing so fast that already in 1975 the third plant is being built, located on 2 acres near the second shop on Mailnowskiego St in Grodzisk Wlkp. Today almost 3000 square meters of this plant are utilized. The plant features, among other things, a modern, automated line for parquet block manufacturing and computer controlled drying facility. Due to such significant business expansion and steadily rising employment – which had exceeded 70 people in 1990 – Jozef Nowak registered his business as DABEX Jozef Nowak and has it entered into a register of businesses in Grodzisk Wlkp. on February 1-st, 1991. In 1996 DABEX buys 6 acres of land. On this area the company invests in order to become more effective, improve quality, and meet the domestic and foreign demand. Presently DABEX employs 180 people.
