A clatter of hammer banging against hot steel is a type of music that leads to the inside of my forge located in Rychliki near Elbląg. Hammers, punches, chisels and other tools are just some of the non-standard tools that form this well-tuned orchestra. It is because of them that my unique masterpieces of smithery are formed. As smithery is not just craft, it is also art.
I devote a lot of time to combine each element with care and attention. This is nothing like welding that leaves unaesthetic traces. Stripping, upsetting and forging are time-consuming processes but thanks to them my products are perfectly finished. Care for every single detail, ability to look inside things and give them a soul - this is a foundation of my craftsmanship.
The need to feel and experience steel in order not to harm it. Years of practice have taught me how to strike a metal with awareness and by means of traditional techniques turn a regular material and shape into something beautiful and original.
I gained my apprentice diploma, knowledge and skills under a watchful eye of Ryszard Mazur, honourable turnkey of Wrocław dealing for the past three decades with artistic smithery. It is because of him that today, my forge is a place of creation of magnificent sculptures.
I make tables, chairs, gates, curtain rails, chandeliers, candlesticks etc. These are items of daily use, decorations, small works of art. I create them according to my original designs, in line with the suggestions and individual needs of my clients.
